After breakfast we will depart for a half day tour to the Castle Dracula. The Bran Castle is situated near Bran and in the immediate vicinity of Braşov. It is a national monument and landmark of Romania. The fortress is located on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia.
Commonly known as “Dracula’s Castle”, it is the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s film Dracula. The castle is nowadays a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture items collected by Queen Marie. At the bottom of the hill there is a small open-air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant crafts from across the country. Nature has been generous with this area that is surrounded by the imposing silhouettes of the massifs Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. The landscape of this area features a harmonious mixture of different landforms: high mountains, impressive plateaus and picturesque valleys crossed by curvy rivers. After our visit at the Castle Dracula we will depart back to Bucharest (173 km). Arrival, check-in and overnight at the hotel in Bucharest.

DAY 4 DEPARTURE

After the tour we will have lunch at an Indian restaurant and then we will return to the hotel. Gala dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 OPTIONAL FULL-DAY TOUR TO TIMISOARA (160 km/approx. 3 hours drive per way)
After breakfast we suggest you to join an optional full-day tour to the Romanian city of Timisoara, the capital city of Timis County and main social, economic and cultural centre in western Romania. Timisoara is one of the largest Romanian cities (the third most populous city in the country) with a population of 319,279 inhabitants. It is considered as the informal capital city of the historical region of Banat. In September 2016 Timisoara was selected as the European Capital of Culture for the year 2021.
Upon our arrival in Timisoara we will have a short stop for coffee or refreshment on one of the welcoming terraces in the city center. We will continue with a relaxed walking tour inside the old city walls of the Vauban-type fortress, which was built in the 18th century by the Austro-Hungarians. During our tour we will take a 2,5 km walk along 800 years of history. We will start with a visit to the oldest building of the city that goes back to the Hungarian settlement of the country: the castle built by the Hungarian king Carol Robert of Anjou at the begging of the 14th century. We will continue our walk along buildings and monuments that date back to the Ottoman Turkish reign and the Habsburg Empire, and will end up at the square where in December 1989 a popular uprising against the communist regime began.
Free time (1 hour) in the city and then lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Belgrade by the same route. In the evening we will visit Skadarlija, the old bohemian district of Belgrade, where we will enjoy dinner with live music in one of the oldest and most traditional restaurants of the city. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Belgrade.
Skadarlija is a vintage street in the heart of old Belgrade. It is located in the Belgrade’s municipality of Stari Grad (Old town) and is generally considered as the main bohemian quarter of the city, similar to Paris’ Montmartre. It is a remarkable tourist attraction which amazes and amuses visitors from all over the world. In Skadarlija you will find some of the most well-known restaurants and hotels (e.g. Le Petit Piaf) of the city, as well as plenty of art galleries, antique and souvenir shops. There are also many live folk bands playing Serbian brass or traditional urban music and actors dressed in traditional Serbian costumes performing on the street.
